David Jaffe has taken to Twitter, saying he didn't have to justify his decision to lie about Twisted Metal being in the works for the PlayStation 3, and declaiming "artsy fartsy" games and industry attitudes. Warning: rough language after the break.
We already reported that Sly Cooper 3D Collection is headed to the PS3. Now Kotaku is reporting a rumor that Patapon 3 and Twisted Metal X are also PS3-bound. Patapon 3 would be the first version of the series to appear anywhere but the PSP. The game is a hybrid rhythm-action game and tactical-battle game. Twisted Metal X would presumably be a new car-combat game. Kotaku reported it as being "not-so-new," but we can't find any trace of a Twisted Metal X existing before this rumor. If these aren't all announced tomorrow at E3s press conference, then look for them to pop up later in the week.
During Sony's E3 event a Twisted Metal exclusive to the PlayStation 3 was announced, trailered, and demoed. Jump the break for details on all of that!
PlayStation 3 owners have yet to see a Twisted Metal title for their shiny black console. Though that may change very soon according to God of War director David Jaffe. At the AIAS Interactive Achievement Awards ceremony, Jaffe allegedly responded to the crowd's Twisted Metal related outcry by saying, "Soon, bitch -- eight or nine months." There is still some uncertainty as to exactly what question he was responding to, though it sounded like it regarded either the game's release or announcement. The guys at 1UP followed up on Jaffe's response in their latest episode of 4 Guys 1UP to find that his latest project does in fact sound a lot like Twisted Metal.
