Media: Photo Dojo - Nintendo Media Summit Trailer

With custom lines such as "Obey the Captain!" and "Why did you hurt me?" emerging during a demonstration, Photo Dojo became one of the talks of the Nintendo Media Summit yesterday. To give those of us who were not in attendance a better idea of the zaniness the game entails, Nintendo has released the following Photo Dojo trailer: Direct Link From the press release:Nintendo's Photo Dojoâ„¢ is poised to be the cult hit of 2010 when it launches this spring. The game first asks players to pose for 13 pictures and input 10 sound effects. Once that's done, the player becomes the main character in a hilarious side-scrolling fighting game. Create up to eight characters and do battle alone or against a friend on a single Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL system.I believe this one will definitely be worth spending a few DSi Points on. But how does one capture themselves?

Nintendo Download - 2/22/10: Whether at Home or Out and About, Nintendo's Downloads Make for Gre

Is everyone ready? It's that time of year again: Nintendo releases a Nintendo Download without a single Virtual Console title in sight, and those of us donning nostalgia-goggles readily take up our brooms and petition on Nintendo's doorstep for them not to ignore the hardcore, etc. This is actually rather peculiar. Mega Man 10 is slated for a WiiWare release next Monday, with Mega Man 4 rated by the ESRB. When Mega Man 9 was released, the weeks leading up to it saw the release of Mega Mans (Mega Men?) 1, 2, and 3. So this means that Nintendo would likely either a) release MM4 at the same time as MM10, or b) release it after MM10. The latter isn't impossible; with the releases of MM10 for the three consoles scattered across the month of March, perhaps Nintendo wants to use the classics as a countermeasure of sorts? Seriously, I don't know. But hopefully there won't be the cause for alarm that there has been previously. As for this week's releases? All the details for WiiWare and DSiWare are in the press release after the cut, including Aura-Aura Climber, which sadly doesn't seem to relate at all to Ice Climber. But Nintendo sure does love that "Climber" name, don't they?

Nintendo Download - 11/16/09 - Try Before You Buy: Nintendo Offers 5 Game Demos to Guide Holiday Sho

This week's Nintendo Download brings something a little bit different to the mix: downloadable WiiWare demos. Who would have imagined, right? The demos available thus far are BIT.TRIP BEAT, FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: My Life as a Darklord, NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits, World of Goo, and this week's new release, Pokémon Rumble. And speaking of Pokémon Rumble, members of Club Nintendo will be able to unlock an exclusive Toy Pokémon character for use in the game. Virtual Console has two classics in Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures for the Super NES, and yet another version of Street Fighter II, this time for the Turbografx. At least it should make a decent companion for last week's release of Fighting Street. And finally, DSiWare has a triple threat of a new Art Style program, Arcade Bowling, and Robot Rescue. For more details on each of these titles and the demo downloads, check out the full press release after the cut.

Nintendo Download - 11/09/09 - Load Up on Excitebike Action, Musical Plankton and More

At long last, it's the WiiWare moment you've all been waiting for... unless the moment you were waiting for is Castlevania, that is. Nay, but as promised, Excitebike: World Rally is now available for download on WiiWare for 1,000 Wii Points. There's even more oldschool fun with Frogger Returns, which costs only half of what Excitebike does, and you can round out an even twenty bucks by getting Dragon Master Spell Caster from Stickmen Studios for another 500 Wii Points. DSiWare has an abundance of titles as well, though five of them are Electroplankton titles, each 200 DSi Points. If you want something with a bigger bang, however, Hudson has you covered with the eight-player Bomberman Blitz for 500 Wii Points. Finally, Virtual Console sees two new releases in the form of Cybernoid for the Commodore 64 and the well-renowned Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap for the SEGA Master System, each commanding 500 Wii Points. For more info on each of today's 11 titles, check out the press release after the cut.
