Media: RE 5: Gold Edition - Jill Valentine Trailer

Expectations were understandably high for Resident Evil 5, as the fourth installment was certainly a hard act to follow. While the fifth chapter in the franchise was by no means a bad game, it failed to wow horror fans like it's predecessor did. Regardless, it looks like Capcom is milking the title for all that it's worth. Here's a look at Gold Edition's extended content with Jill Valentine. Second New Resident Evil 5 Confirmed, Starring Josh Stone and Jill Valentine

As reported right here on Kombo, the latest issue of Famisu has confirmed the rumors regarding the second new scenario being added to Resident Evil 5. Indeed, "Desperate Escape" will star Josh Stone, Captain of the BSAA forces in Africa, and legendary RE heroine Jill Valentine as they battle close to the end of the game to support Chris and Sheva. Based on the scans, it looks like it will be a far more action-based scenario, with enormous waves of Majini to do battle with. Likely, you can expect a few new bosses as well. The scan also revealed new Mercs chararacters - Chris in an exoskeleton outfit, Sheva as an office lady, and Josh Stone himself. The new content will be available as both DLC and as a part of Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition in early 2010.
