Media: BIT.TRIP: CORE Trailer Shows Intense Gameplay

If BIT.TRIP BEAT wasn't enough for you, Gaijin Games is at it again. This time the colorful and different-sized squares come from all four sides of the screen as you hurriedly mash buttons to not fail. Just from first glance, this game seems not only just as fun as it's predecessor, but also much more difficult. I see some serious 8-bit failure in my future.

WiiWare Turns One

Nintendo's WiiWare download service has just reached its first anniversary, and to celebrate, they've released the following video, which looks back at many of the great releases the service has seen. Some favorites named include Mega Man 9, World of Goo, Tetris Party, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, Dr. Marioâ„¢ Online Rx, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King, BIT.TRIP BEAT, LIT, and LostWinds. Looking ahead, they anticipate big things for Cave Story, Icarian Kindred Spirits, Super Meat Boy, BIT.TRIP CORE, and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. What, no Contra ReBirth? How disappointing. Punch-Out! Dated - Spring Line for Wii and DS

Punch-Out! is coming on May 18th, according to the latest gigantic Nintendo press release. You'll have to hit the break for that, but a few things of note. It's big, I think I already said that, it comes with a release schedule that runs from now until June or, simply, Summer. There's also a slate of descriptions for some bigger upcoming titles off of said roster. One weird thing here is the presence of Wii Sports Resort, the one that makes use of the Wii Motion Plus device; it's Spring 2009 release has been changed to merely 2009.
