Shadow of Destiny is well-known as being one of the most unique games from the early days of the PS2, with a seamless combination of adventure and survival horror. For those that missed the original, Konami has just announced a PSP port will be heading to North America in 2010. Players take on the role of Eike, a young man who has just witnessed his own death. Gifted with the ability to travel through time, Eike must travel through different periods and eras to unravel a series of mysteries, with changes in the past going forward to affect future eras. The game challenges the concepts of fate and existence, and features multiple unique characters, as well as numerous endings.

Namco today confirmed a September 1st release date for Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny for the PSP while detailing the game's extensive tutorial mode and its two new characters in an interview with The Playstation Blog. Magic Box also revealed a new system in the game.
Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny is only a month and some change away from its PlayStation Portable release in the U.S., as Siliconera has revealed that the game will hit shelves on September 1st in North America. Until then, entertain yourself with some of these match-ups from a San Diego Comic-Con montage video, which features God of War's Kratos doing what he does best at the 1:33 mark: Video Games | Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny | SDCC 09: Kratos Gameplay (Cam)XBox 360 | Playstation 3 | Nintendo Wii "Spartans do not know the meaning of surrender," he says. That seems to be working out pretty well for him.
The Japanese SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny website has revealed a release date for the PSP port of SoulCalibur IV. Souls will be burning in bathrooms across Japan on August 27th. While no Western date has been announced yet, both SoulCalibur III and IV were actually released in North America shortly before they were released in Japan, so while it's unlikely that the game will be hitting our shores quite as soon as next month, it probably won't be too long after that. Broken Destiny removes the Star Wars characters from SoulCalibur IV, but replaces them with two new ones, including the weird-looking (even by SoulCalibur standards) Dampierre, and Kratos from God of War. You can probably look forward to getting your grubby North American hands on the game some time this fall.
And, rounding out the Namco Bandai portion of Sony's show is Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny for the PSP, of which there are many screens now added to our gallery.
So finally, after all this time, we get Soul Calibur on a portable. I have to admit, I've been playing a lot of Soul Edge on...
As it was recently revealed, Soulcalibur is making its way to the PlayStation Portable in the form of Broken Destiny, which appears to take place around the time of or after last year's Soulcalibur IV. Now, Namco Bandai has released a teaser trailer for the title, which is unfortunately about 27 seconds of warnings and logos and such, and 23 seconds of video resembling actual game footage. I guess that's why they call it a teaser. GameSpot also had a few words with one of the developers behind the game, who was willing to shed a little more light on what we can expect from this iteration. See what he has to say after the cut.
As mentioned last week, Namco Bandai is bringing Tekken 6 and Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny to the PlayStation Portable, and we've gotten our hands on a few screens of the latter for you. And I must say, it's looking pretty good. I'm also glad they're sticking with the SCIV outfits. Unfortunately, there's not much more to say that hasn't already been said, so hit the gallery to check out the other ten screens.
