Like most of us, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima was impressed with Rockstar Games' latest gameplay video for Grand Theft Auto 5. But as a fellow game creator, it made him a bit depressed.

"GTA V new trailer was awesome! This free control is future of the game, way higher than anywhere," he said on Twitter, before adding, "makes me depress as matter fact.

"I don't think our V can reach that level," he continued. "Though, Rockstar's devs are the best. Make no mistake, this will raise the potential of video games."

Come on, it's not like we were disappointed with Metal Gear Solid 5's showing at E3 -- the game also looks solid. Chin up, Kojima. After all, your game is the one coming to next-gen consoles.
