NewsSee the cover of NCAA Football 14, featuring Denard Robinson
We've known for weeks now that Michigan Wolverine's quarterback Denard Robinson would grace the cover of NCAA Football 14, but EA today finally unveiled the box art. Unlike traditional quarterbacks, Robinson is shown in a pose we're more likely to recognize him in -- rushing.
The quarterback, nicknamed "Shoelace," finished his collegiate career rushing for 4,495 yards and 42 touchdowns, and almost always made the highlight reel week-in and week-out with fantastic runs. As a passer, Robinson threw for 6,250 yards and 49 touchdowns in his time at Michigan, but also threw 39 interceptions.
Robinson's future as a quarterback in the NFL may be cloudy -- several scouts see him better fitted as a cornerback, running back, or receiver due to his 4.35 40-yard -- but he will at least be forever engrained in our minds as an all-around NCAA athlete -- which is exactly what belongs on the cover of NCAA Football. For what it's worth, Robert Griffin III was on the cover of NCAA Football 13 and he went on to have a pretty stellar rookie season in the NFL, so maybe the trend will continue.
Are you happy with how Denard Robinson is represented on the cover of NCAA Football 14?
