NewsShovel Knight completes funding and reaches first stretch goal
Shovel Knight, the 8-bit action-adventure game that launched earlier this month, has surpassed its target of $75,000 on crowdfunding site Kickstarter. Twelve days remain on the clock.
The former WayForward Technologies members at new studio Yacht Club Games who are running the campaign already announced two additional platforms if the Kickstarter met its goal. Wii U and 3DS versions are now confirmed.
On March 29, as the campaign was reaching its mark, Yacht Club unveiled a list of stretch goals and their funding levels.
Shovel Knight hit $75,000 on March 30. Now it has passed $83,000, which guarantees a music player "and extras." Yacht Club said it is adding more backer options and reward tiers, and it profiled the antagonist the Enchantress in an update today.
At $90,000 — the next funding milestone — Yacht Club will add achievements.
