NewsGhost, Panther, or Assault? What kind of Splinter Cell Blacklist player are you?
A new video from Ubisoft has been released, giving us a look at the dynamic gameplay offered in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist. In this developer video, game director Patrick Redding showcases three different approaches you can take when tackling a level in the game -- Ghost, Panther, and Assault. Each playstyle is completely unique, but totally feasible.
Ghost players take a silent, non-lethal approach, using the shadows as cover. As you'll see, you'll have many gadgets at your disposal when using this approach.
The Panther approach involves staying undetected, but striking lethally from the shadows, leaving no one standing. Rather than show off the fancy stealth gadgets, Redding actually puts on a display of gameplay techniques you can use for this approach -- such as lining up shots to take out multiple enemies at once.
The third approach is that of the Assault player. As the name suggests, this involves an aggressive approach -- going into the room guns blazing, not caring about the noise you cause or attraction you may draw as a result. After all, when you're finished no witness will be left.
Now that you have a firm understanding of each style, what approach will you take when Splinter Cell Blacklist releases on August 20?
