NewsUbisoft says "we will introduce an all-new Assassin's Creed hero" in financial year 14
Yves Guillemot, probably my favorite CEO in the industry, has indeed revealed that a completely new Assassin's Creed will debut on consoles before the end of their 2014 fiscal year. The 2014 fiscal year consists of April 1, 2013 through March 31, 2014. That most likely means we'll get to see our entirely new Assassin sometime this Holiday season, since each game before that came out around that same time.
That's pretty great news for fans of the series, especially for those that felt like Connor's adventure was just slightly lackluster, but hey, we loved it!
"We are delighted and proud to announce today that in financial year '14, we will introduce an all-new Assassin's Creed hero, within an all new team and time period, and we expect it to be another major leap forward for the franchise,It is the benefit of multiple teams working on multiple chapters of the product, each getting several years to make their versions of an Assassin's Creed game."
Hed added that we'll learn more details about the upcoming game "very soon."
