NewsSWTOR 'Return of the Gree' update 1.7 detailed
EA and BioWare have revealed the first details for Star Wars: The Old Republic game update 1.7, titled "Return of the Gree". The new update is highlighted by two major features, a "Relics of the Gree" recurring event and the addition of a new "Galactic Reputation" system. Both features were detailed in full.
As previously teased by executive producer Jeff Hickman, update 1.7 will bring some interesting changes to the PvP zone known as Ilum. The Relics of the Gree event sends players on an exploration around the contested area to "uncover the mysterious purpose of the Gray Secant, an enormous ancient Gree starship."
"Get ready to face a powerful opponent that awaits you at the center of this ancient vessel," BioWare teased. By participating in the event you can discover exclusive Gree technology, including "highly-advanced" weapons and armor. BioWare did say opportunities to join this recurring event will be possible throughout the rest of 2013, although they didn't mention specifics.
The next big feature is the Galactic Reputation, a new way to level up your character. As detailed, there are six ranks of increasing prestige: “Outsider”, "Newcomer", "Friend", "Hero", "Champion", and "Legend". You can earn Reputation Points by completing missions for allies such as the Gree and the Voss, or for military divisions within the Republic and the Empire. Lastly, Galactic Reputation is tied to your character's Legacy, meaning it will rank up across all characters.
