NewsMLB 13 The Show cover athletes candidates campaign for your vote
Voting for the cover of Sony's MLB 13 The Show has kicked off today and the candidates -- seven of baseball's best players -- are vying for your vote. Aside from campaigning, the video functions as an explanation for how to vote in this year's MLB 13 Cover Showdown.
Sony and Major League Baseball are slightly changing things up this year. Fans still have the final say in the vote, but to cast your your vote this time, you need to do so socially. To vote, you must actually Tweet or share your vote via Facebook post. Simply head over to MLB.com/covervote and vote for the player you think most deserves to be on the cover. Once there, just click on the player and choose to vote through Twitter or Facebook.
Every time you vote, you claim a seat in your favorite player's stadium. At the end of the week, the player with the most fans in their stadium wins the coveted spot on MLB 13 The Show's cover. Remember, you can vote every day.
So if you want to put a NL player on the cover for the first time since 2008, or think it's time a pitcher is on the cover, head over to MLB.com to cast your vote. Voting begins today, January 7, and lasts until January 11, 2013. Below are the seven athlete's up for the cover and their Twitter hashtag. Don't be a clown, cast your vote!
