NewsCarrie Fisher not against starring in Star Wars Episode 7
If Disney approaches Carrie Fisher, who portrayed Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy, and asks her to reprise her iconic role, there's a good chance she'd agree to it.
When asked by TMZ if she'd accept a role in Star Wars Episode 7, which is currently in development, Carrie responded, "Yes.Sure. Wouldn't you?"
Makes sense. I mean, if I had an opportunity to star in a Star Wars film - regardless of quality *cough* Episodes 1-3 *cough*, you bet I would. I'm not opposed to the idea as long as she keeps the Slave Leia outfit in the closet.
According to a recent interview with Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), both he and Fisher knew that Lucas had intentions of creating Episodes 7-9 of the series. But he had no idea Lucas was going to sell to Disney. As far as the transaction is concerned, Fisher believes Lucas could've gotten about $4.55 billion rather than the settled for $4.05 billion.
