Earlier this month, Kick-Ass 2 started filming in Toronto Canada, not long after it was announed that Jim Carrey would be playing Colonel Stars in the film. Colonel Stars is an ex-mafia born-again Christian who co-founds the superhero group Justice Forever. They fight crime and sh*t.

With the start of filming comes the first set of photos from the set, but none are more earerly awaited than the first shot of Jim Carrey. And here it is:

Well, there you have it. In other photos you can find at Gammasquad, you can see that Carrey sports some sort of brow prosthetic. That means he looks strange without the mask, but cool with it. You can also see shots of Donald Faison as Doctor Gravity, Clark Duke as Battle-Guy, Aaron Johnson as Kick-Ass, and Lindy Booth as Night Bitch.
