Nintendo 3DS owners who just can't wait until the release of Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] can now get a small dose of it through the Nintendo eShop.

Square Enix has released the demo which takes place in Traverse Town, where Sora meets Neku from the popular DS title The World Ends with You. In this demo you will encounter creatures new enemies called Dream Eaters, who are split into two categories: Spirits (allies) and Nightmares (enemies). Sora is able to recruit spirits like Meow Wow and Tama Sheep as allies and link with them to perform powerful attacks to defeat enemy Dream Eaters. The demo also gives you the opportunity to experience new gameplay features like "Flowmotion", which can be seen in the video, and "Reality Shift".

In Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] Sora and Riku enter the Sleeping Worlds to complete the Mark of Mastery exam in an attempt to become true Keyblade Masters.

Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] is available now for pre-order. If you purchase Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] before its July 31 release date, you can get a set of three augmented reality cards which will allow players to unlock the previously mentioned rare Dream Eaters and a 360 degree viewing stand to take a closer look at them from all angles. It doesn't matter if you purchase the standard edition for $39.99 or the "Mark of Mastery" Collector's Edition, which comes with all sorts of goodies, for $59.99.
