WWE '13 was officially announced yesterday during an episode of Monday Night Raw. The game, which will sport current WWE Champion CM Punk's likeness on the cover, will feature an Attitude Era theme. While details on this aspect of the game are still unknown, it's very likely that the story mode will feature stars of the '90s and early 2000s including Stone Cold Steve Austin and Mankind.

Additionally, while the roster is certain to be rife with some of today's best WWE wrestlers, the whole Attitude Era thing likely means that we'll be getting a beefed up roster with plenty of fan favorites from the iconic period in wrestling, as well as some old school arenas.

A handful of screenshots from WWE '13 have surfaced. They mainly showcase some of the stars we'll see in the game such as Sheamus and old school Undertaker, and one of them shows what happens when two giant guys fall onto the ring from the top turnbuckle. Check 'em out! They're pretty cool!

Are you looking forward to WWE '13? Do you want to recreate classic Attitude Era rivalries? How about working on that dream card and pitting current grapplers against the best of the '90s and early 2000s? Well, for me, that already happened, but now you guys can finally make Stone Cold wrestle against Randy Orton! (The Rattlesnake will totally kick Orton's ass, though.)
