NewsSly Cooper: Thieves in Time can be experienced "different ways"
Today Sony confirmed that Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, which Sanzaru Games is developing in place of Sucker Punch Productions, will be available this fall.
The PlayStation Blog also published an interview with the company about the game, which succeeds the prior trilogy of games that have recently been packaged into one collection. In the video, Sanzaru President Glen Egan talks about "all kinds of different ways that you can experience Sly Cooper" while showing off tons of exciting gameplay footage, including scenes that reveal Sly's eclectic ancestors.
Egan emphasized that gameplay will be flexible: Players can choose to power through the main mission or seek out collectibles before moving on to the next objective. The "playable characters are designed to expand upon Sly’s stealthy skillset, not subtract from it," Sid Shuman, senior social media specialist, wrote in the post.
"They're not clones of Sly," said Egan. "They're not just the same set of behaviors and abilities in a different time period ... There are going to be new things that you're gonna learn how to do, and new challenges that you can overcome now that you've gotten those abilities."
