Case Twenty - Synovial Osteochondromatosis

Clinical History: The patient is a 46-year-old white male who six years prior to examination sustained trauma and has complained of pain in the right elbow since that time.

Findings: Innumerable 2-4 mm spherical partially calcified densities are present in the elbow joint and there is concomitant joint effusion characterized by elevation of the fat pads. Prominent osteophytic changes are present at the elbow joint margins.

Diagnosis: Synovial osteochondromatosis.
